Dutch thrash/death metal heavyweights DEAD HEAD reissue their 5th album from 2009 in a new look. This album is not just a reissue, but a "reworked" album with a thoroughly revised sound, which is the most distinctive feature. Newly recorded drums, a new sound design, and mixing and mastering by renowned Dutch producer Erwin Hermsen have resulted in a sound quality that is as powerful and intense as that of recent releases. The result is even more ferocious and sharp than the original release. The songs on this album are based on thrash's original explosive sense of speed and groove, while at times interweaving unexpected developments and clever compositions, and combining the maturity and aggressiveness of a veteran band. This reissue also includes a bonus disc of live material recorded during the band's early years with frontman Ralph de Boer (Vo/B). The material was rescued from old recording equipment and newly mixed by the band's long-time engineer Gerlach Timmer, allowing the audience to directly experience the wild enthusiasm of the early days of the band.This is an important reissue that allows us to reconfirm the trajectory of DEAD HEAD, which continues to evolve even after more than 35 years since its formation.
