The fourth release in the highly anticipated "Pentatone OXINGALE Series" is a newly remastered SACD hybrid release by Polyhymnia International from the recordings made in June 2011.As with the previous release in this series, "Orbit" - Contemporary Cello Works for Solo Cello (PTC 5186542), the selection of music is truly diverse and stimulating, ranging from classical to rock, with works by Janacek, Martineau, Stravinsky, Radiohead, Cocteau Twins, Blonde Redhead, and many more. From Janacek, Martineau, and Stravinsky to Radiohead, the Cocteau Twins, and Blonde Redhead, you will experience a different dimension of performance that only Haimovitz can express. The cellist Matt Haimovitz, born in Israel in 1970, made his sensational recording debut for Deutsche Grammophon in 1988 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Levine.
