Description:
The Complete Beethoven Symphonies Live Video of Ivan Fischer Conducting the Concertgebouw Orchestra Live video of Ivan Fischer conducting the Concertgebouw Orchestra in complete performances of Beethoven's symphonies over two seasons: May 2013 and January and February 2014, Ivan Fischer, born in Budapest in 1951 to a musical family, has earned a reputation for his work with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, which he founded and directs as its music director. He is a Hungarian virtuoso who has won high acclaim for his work with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, which he founded and directs as its music director.Fischer is a skilled orchestral builder, and has recorded three Beethoven symphonies under his command: No. 7 in September 2006, No. 4 and No. 6 in February 2010, but this is the first recording of the complete works by Fischer with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. The Concertgebouw Orchestra is the first recording of the complete works. The Concertgebouw Orchestra's recordings of Beethoven's symphonies, as far as complete works by a single conductor are concerned, include the Mengelberg recording (1940, session and live) before the war, the Jochum recording (1967-69, session) in the stereo era, and the Haitink recording (1985-87, session) in the digital era. In the digital era, Haitink (1985-87/session) and Savarisch (1991-93/session & live) were produced. It is not surprising that the orchestra's principal conductors, such as Mengelberg, Jochum, and Haitink, are listed, but the appointment of Ivan Fischer in a major role here shows the trust the orchestra has in him and the effort he has put into this project. Ivan Fischer's first appearance with the Concertgebouw Orchestra was in 1987, which means that the two orchestras have been working together for a quarter of a century. In addition, in recent years, the two orchestras have strengthened their ties through repeated guest appearances each season, and it is strongly recalled that Fischer played the Fourth Symphony in the "Complete Mahler Symphonies Live on Video" recorded from 2009 to 2011, where he showed his presence with exquisite and beautiful playing. Considering Fischer's contribution to the Concertgebouw Orchestra, we can expect great things from this new Beethoven cycle, which is a condensed version of his achievements. King International
