Description:

Young guitar prodigy, Sean Sibe's 4th! New "Electric Guitar and Chorus" album! Young Scottish guitar prodigy Sean Sibe! This shocking new recording is a unique collaboration of "electric guitar and chorus"! Sean Sibe is a young Scottish guitar prodigy, who was awarded the "Young Artist Award" at the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards 2017. His first album "Dreams and Illusions" (PDCD34193) and third album "J.S. Bach: On Lute or Harpsichord" (PDCD34233), released on Delphian in Scotland, were selected as Record Art Special Selections, and his second album "Soft Loud" ( PDCD34213) won the newly established "Concept Album Award" at the Gramophone Awards in the U.K., and his recordings have been highly acclaimed and have made a name for himself both in Japan and abroad. The latest release from Delphian is an ambitious collection of works by Sibe's friend and fellow composer Liam Patterson, recorded with the King's College Choir of London, a regular on the label, in an unusual combination of chorus and electric guitar. All three pieces were composed especially for the performers and are world premiere recordings. In "Say it to the still world," Sibe takes on the role of Orpheus with lyre and quotes text fragments from Rilke's poetry, reflecting on the transcendent power of words, loss, and song. Meanwhile, "Elegy for Esmeralda" is a more raw, angry response to grief, and "poppies spread" is a testament to art's ability to reflect and transform the outside world. Sean SibeBorn in Edinburgh in 1992 to an English [father] and Japanese [mother], Sean Sibe studied at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland and in Italy with Paolo Pegoraro, who has greatly inspired him.In 2012, he became the first guitarist to be selected for BBC Radio 3's New Generation Artist Scheme and the only solo guitarist to be awarded the Borletti-Buitoni-Trust Fellowship. in 2015, he was named a Young classical Artists Trust ( London), and was also selected as a winning artist of the Tokyo M-Plus
