Amidst the growing momentum to reevaluate 20th century pianists, here comes a collection of recordings of the postwar activities of one of the most important pianists of all time, Moiseiwicz. Following the era of overviewing the pianists of the 20th century, there is now a growing trend to explore individual pianists in depth. In this context, Moiseyevich is undoubtedly the most important pianist that cannot be avoided. Although he is said to have been a very quiet and reserved pianist, he was extremely busy as a pianist, especially touring vigorously. However, there are very few live recordings in existence, and those that do exist are all very valuable. In this release, some of the tapes of recordings made in the 1950s were entrusted to a musicologist by an ordinary citizen (a bus driver) who was a lover of piano music, and were preserved as a source.Although Moiseyevich was born in the Ukraine, during the war he made great contributions to the comfort of the British public and was a friend of the Churchill family, and his popularity in the UK was very great. The origin of the tape is also a testament to this popularity. Due to his popularity, Moiseyevich often appeared on radio and TV interview programs, and Disc 3 is a collection of the extant recordings. In addition to the quiet, serious but entertaining way in which he manages to get through the questions, the live recording of Chopin's Ballade No. 3 is also included, providing a valuable legacy of the great pianist's life and work.
