Description:

The famous conductor Rudolf Kempe recorded a rare live performance with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra at the Salzburg Festival in August 1962, and now it is available on CD! At that time, Kempe was over 50 years old, had already appeared at the Bayreuth Festival, conducted the "Ring of the Nibelung" for four years until 1963, and had been the principal conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra since 1961, and was enjoying a fulfilling period. This disc features Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the famous pianist Magaloff, as well as symphonies by Haydn and Mozart, and the total recording time is over 80 minutes, making this a very enjoyable disc.
