Bach's complete works for solo keyboard is a collection of sonatas, variations and fugues written between 1745 and 1755. At the start of the recording, Spani said, "Realizing a complete cycle is never a simple task, especially if it includes works by early composers. With this series we present all of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's unquestionably authentic works for solo keyboard and accompanying ensemble. Since our goal is to give a general perspective on the possibilities of performing these works, this recording is based on a thorough study of the extant sources and authentic performance practices of the works. We have chosen to play the "authentic" instruments based on the original source material. The music was performed in a truly authentic and genuine interpretation.
