Description:
MINGUS AT CARNEGIE HALL", known as the masterpiece of the late Charles Mingus, is finally available in a deluxe 2-CD "complete" edition after 50 years! The essence of Mingus music, as hot and dense as magma, is now available again to jazz fans around the world in this deluxe edition, which includes 80 minutes of previously unreleased material, including the complete set list from that time...! The word "icon" doesn't begin to describe Charles Mingus, a true master of the jazz world. Known not only as one of the greatest jazz musicians/composers of all time, but also as one of the most important artists of American music in the 20th century, he has developed various styles of jazz over a career spanning more than 30 years, and has been a major force in the music of Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Dixie, and many others. He has been a constant inspiration to the music scene with his collaborations with jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, and many others. The album "MINGUS AT CARNEGIE HALL," recorded at a white-hot live performance at Carnegie Hall in 1974, is a masterpiece among jazz masterpieces, known as one of his great masterpieces of the late period. The performance with a splendid lineup of musicians radiated tremendous heat, and the essence of dense Mingus music was developed. The actual concert lasted nearly two hours. The actual concert was nearly two hours long, but the opportunity to relive it in its entirety has been lost until now.In celebration of Black Music Month, which runs from June to July this year, Warner Music Group has sent its foremost music archaeologists to the rare vaults to uncover the recordings of Charles Mingus, along with Don Pullen (p), John Faddis (tp), George Adams (ts), Hamiette Brouillette (bs), and Daniel Richmond (ds). The Warner Music Group sent a leading music archaeologist to the archives to unearth an analog tape containing approximately 80 minutes of previously unreleased material from Charles Mingus' January 19, 1974 performance at Carnegie Hall with Don Pullen (p), John Faddis (tp), George Adams (ts), Hamiet Bluiett (bs), and Daniel Richmond (ds), the very performance that produced that masterpiece. This blessed discovery has made it possible for the band to record the first ever recording of the performance at Carnegie Hall. This blessed discovery has allowed us to finally release the complete "MINGUS AT CARNEGIE HALL (DELUXE EDITION)" version of this masterpiece for the first time in over 50 years! (1/2)
