In 1971, Gong, led by the brilliant David Allen and his wife Jiri Smythe, signed with the emerging French label BYG and released their second album, "Camembert Electric". The band signed with Virgin Records, the up-and-coming progressive rock record label of the time, and the success of the "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy catapulted the band into a more major scene.
