A crystal bowl is an acoustic instrument made of crystal and is a typical instrument that plays overtones. An overtone is a sound that has a frequency that is twice the base frequency. For example, if there is a sound with a frequency of 100 Hz, an overtone is a sound with a frequency of 200 Hz, which is twice that of the base frequency, at the same time. Because the waves of overtones line up beautifully with each other, they are said to be pleasant to listen to and to have a healing effect. Among crystal bowls, those made by adding minerals and other ingredients to crystal that is as close to 100% pure as possible are called "alchemy crystal bowls," which generate rich overtones and have outstanding healing effects. This CD is a remastered version of a live Alchemy Crystal Bowl performance filmed in the studio at Kurisutari-an Minami-Izu. Please use it for sleepless nights or when you need to calm your mind.
