Description:
The 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth will be celebrated in 2020. The Stradivarius "Duranti" owned by Mariko Senju still produces beautiful tones after more than 300 years since its manufacture. The first volume of Beethoven's complete violin sonatas played on the "Duranti," which existed in Beethoven's time, is the first recording of the complete works for Mariko Senju in her long career as a performer. The pianist is Yukio Yokoyama, who is currently attracting the most attention for his performances of Chopin's complete piano works, and the two-disc set is suitable for a new era and a commemorative year.
