Recently, performances of Beethoven and Mozart concertos arranged for chamber music by various composers have been attracting attention. In this album, we can hear a version of Beethoven's Trio Concerto arranged for piano trio by Carl Reinecke, a well-known pianist at the time. 85 years old, Reinecke had a long life and left more than 300 works, covering the early to the late Romantic period. His arrangements of Beethoven's works are highly effective, with each instrument playing the role of a soloist. Reinecke's own piano trio, recorded at the same time, is beautiful and fluid music reminiscent of Mendelssohn. The first movement is led by a slow introduction, the second movement has an appealing, leisurely melody, the scherzo movement is lively, and the final movement is a magnificent finale in the traditional style.
