Debut album of the superb brass ensemble reissued on SACD Hybrid! The first album by the Philharmonic Brass, which debuted in 2023 and brings together brass and percussion players from the famous orchestras of the Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic, is now available again on a new label, SACD Hybrid. The program is a collection of famous overtures for orchestra. The arrangement for orchestra with no strings or woodwinds seems to be at a disadvantage, but the amazingly stable high range of the piccolo trumpet and the bass range of the virtuoso players create a sound comparable to the orchestral sound, which is spread by the harmonics produced by the string ensemble, as well as the overwhelming individual skills of each player. The overwhelming individual skills of each player combine to create a thrilling performance that reveals new charms of each work. Sohiyev's mastery of both orchestral music and opera is also impressive. The re-release of this recording allows the SACD playback environment to enjoy the performance in high sound quality that highlights the excellence of the performance to the maximum extent.
