A collection of various "memorial" music by the young Belgian composer Laurent Prumann. His personal reflections on composers who have strongly influenced him, from Ligeti and Shostakovich to the long-ago Dowland, are also a tribute to Melanie Defies, the female violinist who was a victim of the March 22, 2016 terrorist attacks in Belgium. The MP4 Quartet and "Bow," which performs the work, have long had a good working relationship with Prühmann, and here, too, the performance is full of empathy. Track 6 adds an original sound by Delafontaine, an electronic instrumentalist born in 1988. Naxos Japan
