A classic album reminiscent of the beautiful beaches of Waikiki in the 60's is back on vinyl! The steel guitar and rhythm guitar duo, Santo & Johnny, are known for their classic song "Sleep Walk". This album features the same image of Hawaii as the cover released in 1961 (the paper jacket features a landscape photo of Diamond Head and the obi features the familiar illustration of a palm tree). The album is inspired by Hawaii. You can enjoy the cool instrumental sound that is their charm, perfect to listen to in the hot season, and the gentle melody played by steel guitar will lead you to a dreamy world. This surprisingly simple sound, with steel guitar playing the main melody and electric guitar and drums serving as simple accompaniment, continues to attract many pop music fans today, more than 50 years later. However, I feel that there is a tremendous amount of information contained in such a simple sound. I feel that I have tasted this kind of emotion every time I have listened to Santo & Johnny's albums.(This item is the same as Disc-2 of the 3-disc box set previously released as ODR6810-12.
