The new album is "Fishfeet," a previously unreleased album by guitarist Ron English, one of the label's most important musicians. This is the first time that the original cover design has been used on a CD. On this album, his only leader album in the 70's, he shows off his varied playing, which is sometimes romantic, sometimes bluesy, and sometimes funky, while maintaining his glamour.All the songs are worth listening to, including the fantastically beautiful "You Make Me Feel Brand New," "Fishfeet" with its tight groove, "Bees," which is in the vein of Detroit deep jazz, and the fantastic "Ultima Linda" with a Spanish taste. The participation of allies such as Kenny Cox, Lyman Woodard, Phil Ranelin, and Larry Nozero is also not to be missed. The cover was designed by Overton Lloyd, who has also worked on jackets for The Counts, Parliament, Zapp, and others.
