Voodoo Kiss is a band that has successfully digested the influences of its great predecessors and delivers pure metal with 100% steel content. This is German Heavy Metal! Voodoo Kiss is a German heavy metal band that was formed in 1995. The band was formed in 1995, and after initially concentrating on live performances, they became a cult favorite in their hometown of Ostalpkreis. Eventually, drummer Achim Ostertag decided to organize his own festival in 1997 to further boost the German metal scene. Voodoo Kiss played as the last performer. Although Voodoo Kiss itself disbanded in 2000 without releasing any albums, Summer Breeze has become one of the biggest festivals in Europe. Summer Breeze is now one of the biggest festivals in Europe. Voodoo Kiss reunited in 2010 and released their eponymous debut album with Gerrit Mutz of Sacred Steel on vocals. Now, their second album will be released. The album, titled "Feel the Curse," also features Gerrit on vocals, as on the debut, and is a mix of Iron Maiden, Pretty Maids, Motorhead, and even a touch of thrash, with influences from the greats. The influences of their great predecessors have been digested beautifully, and of course, this time, the only ingredient is 100% steel. The sound can only be described as hard and heavy.
