The band was formed in 1984 by Bruce Hornsby, a piano/accordion player from Virginia, USA. Following the huge success of their debut album, "The Way It Is," this sophomore effort was acclaimed by many critics for Hornsby's large scale, expressive piano playing on songs like "Look Out Any Window" and "The Valley Road" (#5 in the US).Other songs include a self-cover of "Jacob's Ladder," which he provided to his friend Huey Lewis and which reached No. 1 on the U.S. charts.
