Although a prolific writer, Milhaud did not have many violin concertos, only three numbered and a few single movement small concertos. This CD includes the first, second, and spring concertinos, as well as the famous ballet music "The Bull on the Roof. The most recommended piece is the Spring Concertino from 1934, which is a witty piece of music. The first concertino from 1929 is a short work of about 10 minutes. The first piece, No. 1 from 1929, is a short work of about 10 minutes, and is in the style of a six-piece ensemble. On the other hand, No. 2 from 1946 is an imposing and dignified work. The richness of the second movement in particular is exceptional. And "The Bull on the Roof" is a delightful work. No wonder she is a prolific composer.
