Description:
Here comes the de facto debut disc by Adrienne La Marca, an accomplished French viola player. This disc is a collection of British music from Dowland to 20th century music. This is a recording that will allow you to enjoy La Marca's world filled with "passion" and "depth. The largest work on the program is the Viola Sonata by Rebecca Clarke, who was also an accomplished viola player. It is an extremely diverse work that recalls the French music of Debussy and Ravel, and at times Wagner. Other interesting programming includes works by Jonathan Harvey, who passed away in 2012, and Britten's mentor, Bridge. Adrienne La Marca was born in France. In 2014, he was awarded the Best Newcomer Award as a solo instrumentalist by the "Victoires de la Musique". He is currently studying under Tabea Zimmermann at the prestigious Hans Eisler University of Music in Berlin. He has made numerous appearances at music festivals.
