The first official release in 50 years of the legendary Black Artists Group's amazingly long performance recorded in Paris in 1972, the Black Artists Group's second album is now available as a limited edition LP with a 20-page booklet! For Peace And Liberty, remastered from the original tape recorded in December 1972 for the Jazz sur Scene radio show at Maison de la Radio in Paris, combines free improvisation and spiritual jazz with funk grooves in a 35-minute performance. It is a 35-minute performance of free improvisation and spiritual jazz fused with funk grooves.The 20-page booklet includes words by the children Oliver Lake (saxophone), Joseph Bowie (trombone), Baikida Carroll (trumpet), Bobo Shaw (drums) and Floyd LeFlore (trumpet), as well as never-before-seen photographs by French photographer Philippe Gras. The limited edition release comes with a 20-page booklet featuring words by the children (trumpet, Bobo Shaw, drums, and Floyd LeFlore, trumpet), never-before-seen photos by French photographer Philippe Gras, and liner notes by Black Artists Group expert Benjamin Looker.
