Description:
A Collection of Bassoon and Piano Pieces Enjoyed with Basson's Warm TonesA masterful collection of works for bassoon and piano by Jean-Michel Arouet, a master bassoonist active mainly in France. This is one of the few CDs released that contains only performances by bassoonists, and it is a rare album that has been long awaited by fans! This is a collection of gems and small pieces by musicians active between 1840 and 1940 who represented various parts of Europe. Ludwig Milde (1849-1913) is known for his many works for bassoon, and his "25 Etudes" are still used by bassoonists today. The album also includes a number of other well-known and representative works written for bassoon, such as Bourdeau's Premiers Solos, Elgar's Romances, and Saint-Saens' Sonatas. For this CD, Jean-Michel Aruet used a basson made by Buffet Crampon, a long-established wind instrument manufacturer. Overall, the CD is full of beautiful melodies full of emotion, and the fragrant tone of the basson can be fully appreciated! King International
