Baritone Samuel Hasselhorn won first prize in the vocal category of the 2018 Queen Elisabeth Music Competition and was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna State Opera, where he was sometimes given the roles of Belcore (The Wonderful Medicine of Love) and Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro). Although she was born in 1990, her voice is already full of dignity, and she sings with a firmness, cleanliness, and intelligence that is very appealing. Josef Middleton, piano, is a sought-after vocal pianist and professor at the Royal Academy of Music. Hasselhorn featured Schumann this time. The songs are so rich in content that you can't help but listen to the poems and wonder what the future will bring.
