The Glaswegian rock band Travis, named after the main character in Wim Wenders' film "Paris, Texas," debuted in 1996, opening for Oasis on their 1997 UK tour and releasing their debut album "Good Feeling," which debuted at #9 in the UK charts, The album reached #9 in the UK charts. The second album, produced by Nigel Godrich, was a long seller with its beautiful ballad-centered songs.
