Herring, has released its long-awaited latest album, "As Long As You Are"! After the release of their last album "The Far Field", Future Islands has been on a world tour, playing over 180 shows a year, in addition to enthusiastic performances on the main stage at major festivals. This is the first album in three years and the sixth album in three years for the band, and was produced by Steve Wright, who has worked with many local Baltimore bands such as Omar Rodriguez Lopez (Mars Volta) and Beach House.The preceding single "For Sure," which has already been talked about as an anthem following "Seasons (Waiting On You)" and "Ran," the ballad "Thrill," which recalls the Tar River flowing through his native North Carolina, the lyrical lyrics that evoke the unsettled world situation, and the oriental sound of the harp, "City's Face. The album also includes "City's Face," a song that shows the band's new musical evolution in the oriental sound of the harp and strings, and 11 other songs that are linked to the modern sounds of retro-wave and synth-wave, while bringing to fruition the fast pace and emotional rock band performance that the band has valued since its formation. The album also includes 11 tracks. The album also features guest appearances by Jen Wisner of Wye Oak, who has been featured on Bon Evere songs with Bruce Springsteen, and Katrina Ford (Celebration), an indispensable friend of Future Islands' work.Aksak Mabul, led by Marc Orlandel, one of the quiet godfathers of the world's independent labels, presents his third album in 40 years, a double-disc set with 22 tracks.
