Description:
Including the entire Sapporo show from the legendary tour with Derek & The Dominos! The 2006 tour is the most popular tour among the experts in the history of Clapton's visits to Japan. First of all, the lineup is amazing! The band featured Derek Trucks (g), the "new generation guitar hero" of the current Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Doyle Bramhall II (g) in a triple-guitar formation, along with the rhythm section of Willie Weeks (b), a master guitarist known for his work on Danny Hathaway's "Live," and the John Mayer Trio, as well as the "New Generation Guitar Hero," Clapton's own "The New Generation" (g), and the "New Generation" (g). The set list was even more impressive, and the band was so impressive that it was impossible to find another band with such a top-notch lineup. The setlist was even more impressive. This was the second time the band visited Japan after Europe and the U.S. for the world tour of the album "Back Home" (2005), and Derek Trucks' genius slide guitar reminded me of Clapton's late ally Duane Allman, or maybe it was the fact that he played with Duane. During his visit to Japan, the number of Dominos numbers including "My Cousin Leila" (1971) by Derek & The Dominos, who performed with Duane Allman, occupied a larger and larger share of the set list.... This CD was released on 11/26 at Sapporo Dome, Sapporo, Japan. This CD contains all the songs from the 11/26 Sapporo Dome concert. The band seemed to be in top gear right from the start as "Tell The Truth" by Dominos, which had been in a fluid order during the tour, was fixed as the first song, and Clapton, fueled by the shimmer of Derek's soaring slide, attacked with his dynamic blues guitar. The strong-style development of the guitar player's soul is thrilling! On the other hand, Derek Trucks plays a delicate slide on DISC2(4) "Wonderful Tonight" (1977's "Slow Band") and DISC9 "Running On Faith" (1989's "Journeyman"), which are both great songs for crying, and Clapton and Derek Trucks have a crying match! DISC 1(5)-(9) are acoustic sets. Robert Johnson's "When You Got A Good Friend" is a rare number played only in Sapporo.A record of a miraculous night of advanced, passionate playing and a rare setlist!
