coppe's new album "na na me na opera", their first album since the Jazz-focused album "milk" (2017), is now complete! With modular synthesizer specialist HATAKEN as producer, coppe takes on the challenge of opera on this album, which also features modular synthesizer wizards Daedelus and Kenichi Takagi.The opening track "ave maria" and the following song "iopen my mouth and the universe rushes out", a collaboration with Daedelus, have lyrics specially written by Chris Mosdell, an old friend and good friend of coppe, and are dedicated to his late beloved mother. From the fourth track "blue rhapsody" onwards, the colorful sounds of the modular synths and organic grooves, and the singing and modulation inspired by them, make us feel that this is an album made with special feelings. The main focus of the album is Coppe's vocals, which are sung and modulated as if inspired by the colorful sounds of the modular synths and the organic grooves.The album includes a cover of Alessandro Scarlatti's "son tutta duolo", "did i hear your voice...?" with Kenichi Takagi as producer, and a CD-only bonus track, a mix by Greg Hunter of The Orb's and Killing Joke's works.
