Famous Groupies, the much talked about ultra high-level Paul McCartney follower, released their new and last album in 2024! The album features songwriter/singer/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist KIRKCALDY MCKENZIE, who spent his youth in the 70's with his time-traveling parents, singer/keyboardist ROSIE MCKENZIE (=ROSIE ABBOTT ), bassist/mellotron player FAUL MCKENZIE, drummer MICHAEL FORD MCKENZIE, saxophonist/harmonica player GAVIN MCKENZIE, and the band is named after the song "FAMOUS GROUPIES" from "LONDON TOWN", a WINGS classic from the late 78's. The "last album", as the band was announced, was written by Patrick McKenzie, the late great-grandfather of the MCKENZIE family, and much of it was written in the early 1970's, at least between 1969 and 1977. It was most likely written between 1969 and 1977........This last album also features a number of spectacular guest artists. Most notably, Dave Gregory of XTC! He played guitar on 9 songs. The album cover features a young Patrick McKenzie. Beatlish fans will be drooling over this 36-track 2-CD set!
