Bach's Violin Sonata in E minor, BWV 1023, and Beethoven's Spring Sonata. Erli began her career as a soloist in 1955 when she won the Ron Thibault International Music Competition. In the same year, she made her first visit to Japan, where she delivered passionate performances to Japanese audiences. While performing mainly in Europe, Erlier also devoted himself to the training of younger musicians, becoming a professor at the Conservatoire de Marseille in the late 1960s and at the Conservatoire de Paris in 1982. There are very few commercial recordings of Erli. For this reason, the public recordings for broadcast that are kept at the INA are extremely valuable. Lalo's Spanish Symphony was performed in 1956, the year after Ron Thibaud's victory. Erli's technique is perfect and his singing is free. The famous conductor Manuel Rosenthal gives a magnificent performance with good support. The enthusiastic applause of the audience before the last note of the final movement shows that this was an enthusiastic performance. With harpsichordist Robert Veyron-Lacroix, he plays Bach's E minor Sonata in a lyrical, singing way, and with Brigitte Engeler, he plays the Spring Sonata in a musical dialogue. Please enjoy the beautiful sound of Erli, the great violinist of the 20th century, which cannot be heard today. Japanese commentary is not included. (King International)
