URC compilation selected by Keiichi Sogabe! URC (Underground Record Club) was born in 1969 as a pioneer of Japanese indie labels and ended its activities at the end of the 1970s. URC, which brought together Wataru Takada, Kenji Endo, Five Red Balloons, Ryo Kagawa, Happiendo, Nobuyasu Okabayashi, and many other cutting-edge talents, is the grandfather of Japanese folk/rock music. The latest compilation released by Sony Music features Keiichi Sogabe (Sunny Day Service), who has long had a deep knowledge of URC, as a songwriter for the compilation. City Folk" and selected songs from the perspective of the generation that followed in his footsteps. The jacket design and liner notes are by Sogabe himself, and the album conveys the "URC legacy" that reflects the mental landscape of the "youth" of the 60s and 70s not only to traditional URC fans but also to today's young listeners. High-quality Blu-spec CD2 format.
