Description:
Arturo Toscanini left an enormous mark on the history of 20th century music. In the first half of his life, he worked mainly with European and American opera houses, and in the second half of his life, as a concert conductor, he performed a wide range of repertoire at an extremely high standard. The NBC Symphony Orchestra from 1937 is one of the earliest successful examples of media mixing in the art of music. The CD will be reissued in its original analog LP jacket design. Toscanini had a strong attachment to "The Masked Ball" as the first opera he saw at the age of four at the opera house in his hometown of Parma. In this recording, the last performance of the opera in Toscanini's lifetime, Pearce, Nerulli, Merrill, and others are featured. In this recording, the last performance of the opera in his lifetime, Pierce perfectly controls Nerli, Merrill, and other famous singers who were active in the Met at the time, and achieves the ultimate performance of this opera.
