Please enjoy the exceptional sound—a fusion of EXTON’s meticulous recording and the warm, traditional Czech style of performance—on this direct-cut disc. ■ The Difference Between Standard CDs and Direct-Cut SACDs Standard CD pressing involves three types of stampers to ensure the discs can withstand mass production before entering the pressing process. (Master tape → Master stamper → Mother stamper → Stamper) As a result, some variation in sound from the master tape has been observed. Even under these conditions, we have consistently delivered the highest-quality products; however, we have been working tirelessly to find a way to deliver a sound that is virtually identical to that of the master tape itself. The result is a disc created from a “virgin stamper”—the very first stamper produced directly from the master tape. You’ll be able to hear the purity of sound that’s truly “straight from the source”! This disc was previously distributed only to producers for testing purposes and has long been regarded by audiophiles as a “phantom disc” shrouded in legend. A direct-cut SACD that captures the fresh, vivid purity of the master tape. It is a precious disc produced from this “virgin stamper,” which itself has limited durability.
