He is currently touring the world with his 15th studio album "SO HAPPY IT HURTS". Many of you may remember the great excitement he generated when he performed in Japan in March of this year. The soundtrack of "PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL," the first musical for which he composed the music, has finally been released on CD. PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL" is a 1990 romantic comedy film starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. In this lighthearted depiction of the story of a Hollywood prostitute, Vivian, and a Wall Street businessman, Edward, who meet by chance and encounter their dreams and find love, many hit songs, including Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman," graced the screen.The hit movie is now a musical! The musical version, which opened on Broadway in the summer of 2018, is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the Tony Award-winning director of "Kinky Boots" and "Hairspray. The screenplay is by J.F. Lawton, who also wrote the original film, and director Gary Marshall. Music is by Bryan Adams with Jim Vallance. Bryan Adams, who has had many big hits in the past, from rock numbers such as "Summer of '69" and "Cuts Like A Knife" to moving ballads such as "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" and "Heaven," is in charge of the music, The music, which Brian has created for many major hits including "I Do It For You" and "Heaven," is a colorful depiction of the story, from comedic scenes to scenes in which the performers reveal their feelings, from cheerful rock 'n' roll to ballads sung by the performers. The soundtrack was released only as a download when the show began. Since that time, there have been requests for a CD release, and now it has finally been decided to release the soundtrack on CD. This soundtrack album is not only for musical fans, but also for Bryan Adams fans and Western music fans.
