Doppler, Franz (1821-1883)

Description:

Flute fans rejoice! World premiere recordings of Emmanuel Pajou and András Adrián, a dream collaboration! The German Pharaoh Classics label is pleased to announce the release of the flute works of the brothers Franz and Karl Doppler. Flutists Emmanuel Pajou and András Adrian perform together in a dream come true! The collection includes many world premiere recordings of the flute works of the brothers Franz and Karl Doppler. This is a delight for flute fans! Franz Doppler (1821-1883), born in Lemberg (now Levów), was a flutist, composer, and conductor. He made his Viennese debut at the age of 13, receiving his musical training from his father Joseph, a composer and oboe player, and became principal flutist at the German Theater in 1838 and at the Hungarian State Theater from 1841. His brother Karl Doppler (1825-1900), also a flutist, composer, and conductor, was born in Lemberg. Her duo with her brother was immensely popular, with the addition of onstage production. Like his brother, he was a flutist at the German Theater in Pest and later at the National Theater. András Adrián, a leading figure in the flute world and a renowned scholar of Doppler's works, discovered the score of the Concerto for two flutes, which had not been published in the early 1970s, and recorded it with Jean-Pierre Rampal in 1976. It has now become an important part of the flutist's repertoire. After that, all of Doppler's previously unpublished works were thought to be lost, but now they have finally been found and recorded. All of the newly discovered works are charming in their melodic beauty, as is typical of Doppler. It is a great pleasure to be able to listen to these works in the most wonderful performances by the masterful musicians Payou and Adrienne. The booklet includes a photograph of the Doppler brothers, as well as a wealth of information on the instruments used by Carl Doppler. King International
