This is the second concerto collection by popular contemporary composer Michael Torquay (1961-), following the well-received "The Bridges of Manhattan (TROY 1643)". Torquay's style is basically clear, romantic, and very accessible. The four concertos on this CD are also very interesting and occasionally exotic. All four soloists are young.
