This is the second album by the Nashville rock band Colony House, consisting of brothers Chapman (vocals & guitar) and Willie (drums), and Scott Mills (guitar) and Park Correll (bass). Their last album "When IWas Younger" (2014) was described by Japanese rock fans as a "garage version of Coldplay" and "pastoral Strokes", and their honest and straightforward rock full of ideas attracted a lot of attention. The band was also described as "the garage version of Coldplay" and "the idyllic Strokes. With the later addition of bassist Parke Correll, the band's groove on this album is even better than on its predecessor, and the result is an album of great promise.The preceding singles "You Know It" and "You & I" are pop-funny, fun-filled rock 'n' roll songs in the vein of the previous album. The middle track, "320," has a stadium-rock-like, heavy-boned sound, while the introspective tone toward the end of the album allows the listener to enjoy various developments throughout the album, while maintaining the good melodies. Along with the thicker-boned performance, Vo. Carabu has also grown remarkably. He is expressive and has a sexy, mature atmosphere on this album, and this has helped the band to expand its scale. The laid-back rhythms that run throughout the album are sure to appeal to surf rock fans.This is a must listen for fans of the previous album as well as indie, garage, surf...all kinds of rock fans.
