This is the first album in three years and the ninth original album in total, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the major label debut of Jimmy Eat World, the most successful and popular band that brought the emotional rock genre to the global majors as an unshakable and absolute champion. Formed in Mesa, Arizona, Jimmy Eat World released an independent album bearing the band's name in 1994, and this year marks the 20th anniversary of their major label debut with the album "Static Prevails" in 1996. The band has had numerous hit singles with their large scale sound and delicate and lyrical vocals/melodies, including their fourth million-selling album and sixth album, which reached No. 5 in the U.S., their best ever. Their quality rock tracks have gained worldwide support, including in Japan, where their song "Sweetness" was featured in a TV commercial. Frontman Jim Adkins (vo,g) says of the theme of the new album "Integrity Blues", "progress = humans are always in the process of progressing".From their fourth album released in 2001 to their ninth album, they have consistently released a new album every three years. Their last album "Damage" was released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the band's formation, and this album marks the 20th anniversary of their major label debut.
