LAWSHED, a Tokyo-based thrash metal band from the late 80's to the early 90's, has finally reissued their first album. The four-piece Tokyo-based thrash metal band's first album was released on Howling Bull Records in 1991, and features a sound that follows in the footsteps of Bay Area thrash bands such as Exodus and Testament, with sharp, crunchy riffs and melodic solos. The guitar work is superb, interspersing sharp, crunchy riffs with melodic solos. The songs are not easy to follow, but the vocals and the riffs are so fast that they make you listen to the music all at once.The album starts with "BONDS - A BEGINNING," an introduction reminiscent of '80s horror movies, and then folds into the high-tension number "GO IT BLIND," the catchy "FACES," a 6-minute-plus song that was also featured on the previous demo, and "DUMB MILLIONS" and "SKID TALKER," both of which have a great groove to them. The catchy "FACES," which is over 6 minutes long and was also featured on the preliminary demo, and "DUMB MILLIONS" and "SKID TALKER," which shine with a groove, and the thrash number "THE WORST DISEASE," which has a superb tension-filled riff, are among the fine tracks on this album. The over 6-minute "DON'T URGE DISORDER," which was also included in the demo, is one of their best-known songs, with an impressive riff and gang chorus, and a well-crafted song structure. It is a masterpiece of Japanese thrash music. A bonus track, "Lawshed," a demo released on cassette in 1989, is also included.
