"Weldon And The Kats" and "The Sisters": A special package combining two previously unreleased compilations released during Weldon’s lifetime. A collector’s item packed with a different side of Weldon, including an alternate version of the classic track "Music Is The Key." "Weldon And The Kats," a collection of unreleased tracks released in 1989 as the third release on Weldon’s independent label, Nodlew. Focusing on session recordings from the 1980s, it also includes "Mr. P.C.," one of Weldon’s earliest recordings from 1968, featuring Steve Grossman (ts). Led by a beautiful, mellow soul rendition of the classic track "Music Is the Key" (originally from *Sinbad*) featuring female vocals, the album is packed with acoustic crossover jazz centered around Weldon’s vivid piano playing. Featuring Marcus Miller (b) and Tom Brown (tp). The album *The Sisters*, a compilation of session recordings from 1979, is centered on rehearsal sessions for Don Blackman’s debut album (1982), on which Weldon served as co-producer, and features Don Blackman (vo), Marcus Miller (b), and Toni Smith (vo). The album ranges from the mellow track "Morning Sunrise"—typical of Weldon, known for his samples in Jay-Z’s music—to boogie-funk like "The Sisters" and cosmic fusion like "Blue In Green." The closing track, "Think I’ll Stay A While," is a masterpiece brimming with positive energy. *Due to time constraints, "Sexy Eyes" from the original album is not included. SHOUT! PRODUCTIONS
