The long-awaited re-release of a hit single by Osaka-based electronic musician 7FO! “Surf Synth Acid Dancehall Rock!!!!” ((C)Tapes) A popular single-only track from Osaka-based composer and performer 7FO (Nana E F O) that redefined his artistic image. This important work, closely tied to the album *The Stone I Picked Up Cracked*, is now available on a transparent fluorescent yellow vinyl! “Healing Sword,” which 7FO approached with the mindset of “feeling like a mysterious DIY musician,” was produced as the first “single track” in 7FO’s history—a tribute to the 7-inch pop era and Joe Meek. However, they weren’t about to simply become Joe Meek—that initial enthusiasm dissipated like steam from a hot spring and condensed into the “post-bath” RGM sound. Upon hearing this track, Jackson Bailey (Tapes/Rezette) exclaimed, “Surfsynthaciddancehallrock!!” The B-side, “Snake (Live),” is a one-take, lo-fi monaural track that showcases the composer-performer’s true mastery; it’s actually a hidden gem that served as the starting point for the production of *The Stone I Picked Up Cracked*. Furthermore, there’s a great story behind the track “Shirohebi,” which closes out *The Stone I Picked Up Cracked*: it was inspired by the fact that none other than Henry Rollins played this song on the radio. The custom hot spring symbol featured in the artwork was created by artist and performer Keisuke Yamao, and the album cover was produced at Yamao’s studio.
