This was particularly evident in piano music; the character pieces created by Chopin and Schumann were further refined over time, with technical brilliance added, evolving into elegant and beautiful works. This album features such works. The album is packed with highlights, including several dazzling works by Moszkowski, pieces by Henzelt favored by connoisseur pianists, and “The Beautiful Blue Danube”—known as an extremely difficult piece—which has been transformed into a sweet and enchanting work by Schulz-Ewer.
