Long-time collaborators Echette Echette (b) and Victor Lewis (ds) join him on this superb piano trio release! Love is the theme of popular pianist George Cables' latest work. Pianist George Cables was born in New York City in 1944 and grew up in a musical family. He grew up in a musical family, and was moved by the performances of Thelonious Monk and other jazz pianists he heard in high school, which led him to the world of jazz. He has performed with jazz greats such as Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Art Pepper, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Bobby Hutcherson, Max Roach, Art Blakey, and Roy Haynes, and is beloved by many jazz legends. He is a beloved pianist of many jazz legends. He is also one of Art Pepper's favorite pianists, and has released trio albums with the same members in 2015 and 2018. This album contains a total of 10 songs.The album includes four original compositions by Cables, Jazzman originals, and standards, as well as a piece by Masatake Unno, a Japanese pianist active in New York. The performances seem to be getting younger with each passing year rather than more mature. The simple, straightforward arrangements and performances convey the flavor of the music. This is truly a first-class piano performance.
