Her second album, *Everything Has Changed*, produced by Grammy-winning producers Mike Elizondo and Bernie Lister, was released by Dead Oceans in partnership with Phoebe Bridgers. Danielle Ponder, a singer-songwriter born in Rochester and based in Atlanta, is known as one of the most powerful voices on the music scene and has announced the release of her second album, *Everything Has Changed*, on October 9 via Dead Oceans. This marks her label debut and will be released in partnership with Phoebe Bridgers. “Everything Has Changed” is arguably Ponder’s most confident work to date. Produced by Grammy-winning producers Mike Elizondo and Barney Lister, and featuring contributions from Bartees Strange, Avis Reese, and Ray Jones, the 14-track album sees her delving deeply into the contemplative meaning behind her last name and laying bare every facet of herself through her music. Ponder has long worked as a lawyer dedicated to criminal justice reform. This path began when, at age 16, her brother was sentenced to 20 years to life (an indeterminate sentence with no fixed term). She did not begin pursuing music in earnest until her late 30s, and in 2021, at the age of 39, she resigned from her position as a lawyer and decided to devote herself entirely to her musical career.
