He described in detail all the repetitions, each with a variation. This made the piece sound like an improvisation the first time it was played. Ultimately, it was like a master class for the performers, helping them to master the art of playing. Belgian keyboardist Tom Begin, who specializes in music of the 18th and early 19th centuries, performs on this album "without variations" and "with variations. This is a project unique to him, as he has recorded works by Beethoven and others in innovative ways in the past. It will be interesting to hear what kind of improvisational performance he will give especially in the "with variations" section. Recorded April 2-4, 2024 in Belgium. (Tokyo M-Plus)
