This is the second album by Denseland, the Berlin-based trio of David Moss, Hanno Leichtmann, and Hannes Strobl. The album incorporates elements of dub-esque post-punk, no-wave, post-rock, adventurous electronic music, and improvised acoustic music, and combines vocal performances characterized by Lou Reed-like cool, Lydia Lunch-like confrontationalism, and sometimes Scott Walker-like The minimalism of Leichtmann and Strobl's dub-infused, bass-heavy rhythms combined with lyricist Moss's unflinching storytelling evokes a space that is both enclosed and limitless.
