Description:

Ana Mazoch's masterpiece "Ninguem Vai Me Segurar (1974)", one of the best of her many Azimuth Works and one of the most popular rare groove and Brazilian psychedelic albums, is happily reissued on CD/LP! Ana Mazzoch, born in Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, was a singer-songwriter and pianist who worked with Hermeto Pascual, but died of cancer in 1989 at an early age. Ninguem Vai Me Segurar (1974)" is one of the few works she left behind in her career, and is known as the pinnacle of Brazilian rare groove. The band's members were all from Azimuth at the time, except for Mamão, who was in charge of production and drums, with José Joberto Beltrami on arrangements/keyboards, Alex Marieiros on bass, and Ariovaldo Contestini on percussion. The band is composed of all the members of Azimuth at that time except for Mamão.Because it was recorded around the same time as Azimuth's legendary first album, this album has long been loved by many music fans as a Brazilian rare groove masterpiece along with Azimuth's other works. The killer eleppy samba-jazz "Agora Ou Nunca Mais" starts with a seven-beat beat, the spacy mid-jazz funk "Roda Mundo," and "Eu Sou Mais Eu" starts with a strong ensemble of bass, drums, and clavinet.... Although the composition is extremely simple (drums, percussion, bass, and electric piano), the rare groove created by the individual nuances of each member against the backdrop of the common language of samba is truly one and only. It is the pinnacle of Brazilian fusion and spacy jazz-funk, a treasure trove of sampling sources, and a groove museum, and it is a condensation of the charm of Azimuth. And the ultimate highlight is the cover of "Feel Like Making Love," a song famously sung by Roberta Flack. The inclusion of this rare groove anthem, with its Beltrami-esque synthesizers and Mazzucci's exceptional voice, creates an unmistakable mellowness that makes this album a masterpiece.
