Re-release of the deluxe edition with obi and liner of the first album by AMERICAN FOOTBALL, a US Illinois emo band formed around Mike Kinsella, who used to play drums for CAP'N JAZZ. This special edition commemorates the 25th anniversary of AMERICAN FOOTBALL (LP1), the iconic emo masterpiece released on POLYVINYL in 1999 and still influential today, and their upcoming tour in Japan in March 2025. This deluxe 2-CD edition, released in 2014, comes with obi and liner notes. The liner notes are by CHINESE FOOTBALL's Xu Po, and the poster liner features the latest artist photo on one side. The lyrics of this album are a breath of fresh youth. Exploring themes of love, disappointment, and subtle relationships between people, the lyrics depict the days of youth filled with change in unpretentious language. The lyrics of "Stay Home," for example, capture the unique feelings of youth as they withdraw and try to find their own answers. The lyrics will resonate with all young people.
