Indesens, a French label that has released a series of high-quality wind instrument recordings, presents "French Chamber Works" by members of the woodwind section of the prestigious Orchestre de Paris. This album features a wide range of compositions, from the woodwind quintet by Paul Tufanel, known as the "father of the modern flute," to Gounod's Small Symphony (woodwind quintet), which was dedicated to the "Society for Woodwind Chamber Music" established by Tufanel to enhance the repertoire of woodwind instruments. This important repertoire of music for woodwinds, which flourished in the development of many artistic cultures, including painting, architecture, and music, is spun in the colorful sound of the French tradition, which was born at the end of the 19th century and has continued to evolve while being passed down to the present day. This album follows the concept of Gounod and Dandy on the reissue album (CAL22106) released at the same time by the historic French label "Calliope", and the tradition of the masters who supported the Orchestre de Paris in the 70's is beautifully carried on.
