The Sound Carriers are a rock band from Nottingham, England, who have completed their fifth studio album "Through Other Reflections", following "Wilds" in 2022 (voted the best album of the year by "Brooklyn Vegan" in the US). From the pop opener "The City Was," through the Procol Harum-like melancholy organ sound of M(2) "Always," to the cinematic lounge manner of M(3) "Comet 4," reminiscent of Lalo Schifrin, the album is more varied than ever from the outset. The album is a new departure in the world of sound.The retro 60s direct M(4) "Behind The Fire," M(5) "Feel The Way," a mix of spiritual jazz and soft psychedelia, (7) "Already Over," a kitschy advance cut, and the last track "The Return," an intoxicating funk sway of rhythm and exotic guitar melody. The last track, "The Return," is an inevitable intoxication, and the entire album is filled with the unique psychedelia that only Sound Carriers can deliver. Stereolab, Broadcast, Free Design, Nino Nardini, Psychedelia, Tropicália, Mondo/Exotica, Library Music, ......, and many other elements are kneaded and matured into a unique and eclectic psychedelic style.
