Toronto's popular instrumental band Badbadnotgood, loved by artists from Kendrick Lamar, Kaytranada, Thundercat, Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean to Snoop Dogg and Bootsy Collins, has released its latest album on "XL Recordings"! Badbadnotgood has released their long-awaited latest album on "XL Recordings"! This is the fifth album in five years, and features a host of guest artists including Artur Velokai, Kareem Riggins, Terrace Martin, Lalage, and Brandy Younger, a female jazz harpist who has also worked with Moses Sumney and Thundercat, and also performed with Pharaoh Sanders. The nine tracks focus on the miracles created by collaboration and improvised live performance, led by the psychedelic jazz track "Signal From The Noise," which features the memorable UK electronic producer Floating Points.The album was mixed by Russell Elevard, a Grammy-winning engineer who has worked on D'Angelo's immortal masterpiece "Voodoo," Erykah Badu and Common during the Soulquarians period, and more recently on Kamasi Washington and Tom Misch's work. The artwork was created by Alaska-Alaska TM, led by Virgil Abloh, creative director of Louis Vuitton. The Japanese CD version of the album includes an additional bonus track and a commentary. The Japanese CD version of this album will include additional bonus tracks and an instruction manual.
